| White Sand Beaches of Kona |

"Give me a crescent bay with a white sand beach, and a towel spread near a
bleached boned tree. It is all I need if it be with thee." (From the Diary of a Romantic Beachcomber.)
The West side of the Big Island of Hawaii, the Kona, lee side, is more
known for its rugged lava coastline than white sands beaches. However,
beautiful white sands beaches do exist and they are easy to get to. Kekaha Kai
Beach is a State of Hawaii Park, a 5 minute drive north (turn left) from the
airport exit. When you get there it is about a mile over a bumpy lava road to
Mahai'ula Bay, but the ride is worth it. Get there early and find a shaded spot. To find out about real estate on the Big Island, contact me directly at (808) 331-3244 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
